I used the PowerPoint presentation when developing the presentation. I used this method because it is relatively easy to use. It is easy to organize the materials that a person is working on, however detailed the information is. The person presenting the material gets a chance to work on different topics for each slide. Other than providing a good summary of materials that the person is working on, the PowerPoint has a notes section where one can add additional notes. It is possible to have an onscreen slide show, and this makes the presentation more interesting. The main challenge I found when developing the presentation was to find a way of keeping the audience interested when dealing with a large presentation. The other challenge involved making sure that my presentation was relevant and simple. It was easy to move towards using animations and different designs, to the point of being irrelevant (Mitchell, 2009).

Using handouts is a good way of summarizing the details during the presentation. The presenter does not have to worry about information overload. The presentations are a good way of reminding the presenter about the important details to convey in the presentation. Handouts are especially beneficial to the audience, because the people do not have to take notes. One challenge when using handouts is that the presenter has to dedicate a lot of time since he or she has to ensure that the handout contain all the useful information. The presenter also has to organize the material in order, as this will make it easier for the audience to navigate through during the presentation. Numbering the pages helps when making the handouts, since it is easier to arrange them in order of the presentation. I also found out that using double-sided handouts helps since I do not have to deal with many papers at the same time (Bucholtz, 2004).
