The seven sacraments refer to catholic teaching on Christ’s institution and entrusted to the church. The differences between the eastern orthodox and western catholic churches were due to universal jurisdiction, source of the Holy Spirit and use of unleavened bread in Eucharist. Protestant churches are churches different from catholic and include Anglican, Lutheran, and Pentecostal. The differences between protestant and catholic churches are the universality of the pope, scripture, saints, celibacy, and catechism.
