Philosophy
Most people think that there are no universal moral
principles. Rather, most people think that moral principles are relative
and subjective. You’ve already argued for your view on morality in
Discussion Topic 2, and you’ve had an opportunity to discuss it with
your peers.

d. The video is an illustration of how you should criticize another
person’s argument. It isn’t aimed at trying to convince you of anything.

Here is Discussion Topic 2:
For a moral principle to be absolute, it must be binding necessarily at
all times. For a moral principle to be universal, it must apply to all
rational beings at all times. Do you think there is such a thing as an
absolute and universal moral principle? Provide reasons to support your
position. You may give examples as well.
Here is my view of Discussion Topic 2:
In my opinion, absolute and universal moral principles exist. If it does
not exist, the society, the country and the world will be in chaos. I
think the most obvious example is the law. Every country has its own
laws. Although the laws of every country are a little different. But I
believe most laws are the same. Law is a kind of restraint to people,
and it is an absolute moral principle. It is mandatory, requiring
everyone to comply with, or be punished by name. But in the same way,
the law is universal. Most laws are accepted by people. And laws are
made by names. The law is modifiable. The amendment is subject to the
permission and review of the majority of the names of representatives.
So it has universality and recognition. Maybe sometimes because of the
absoluteness of law. There may be some misunderstandings, but because of
his universality. People who feel that there are loopholes in the law
can appeal to the court. The court’s prosecutors make a second decision.
This is very human and universal. The two sides of moral principles are
better to help people manage the society, the country and the world.
