Musical Pieces Analysis

Quality musical pieces were respected in the early world. Some of the great musical composers in the previous century were Ludwig van Beethoven and Frederic Chopin. Both composers existed in the 19^th century. Beethoven, from Germany, wrote his pieces mostly directed to the theme of romance. At that time in history, the society was structured with interlinking circles. Beethoven, in his adventures in harmony, rhythm and structural complexities, made the first steps towards romanticism. Conversely, Chopin grew up in the romantic era in France. Moreover, his pieces were influenced by some of his predecessors who had mastered the art of music. The society generally influences the musical art adopted by the various composers. For instance, the two composers grew up in the romantic eras and their music is based mostly on romantic themes.

The two composers reach their audience solely by playing piano. Beethoven, Sonata Pathetique uses the piano to reach his audience. He dedicates the song to his friend Prince Karl von Lichnowsky with a music motif that processes the very basic thematic identity in the musical composition. Remarkably, the sonata achieves musical development as the keyboard sonata is altered, repeated and sequenced throughout the piece. His sonata achieves a high elaboration of this technique. His face motif- the pattern of three short notes followed by one long one opens the fifth symphony. In Beethoven piece the fifth symphony, a four-note figure extends melodically and harmonically to provide the main theme. The note appears throughout the work in refreshing and surprising permutations classically.

Chopin, on the other hand, dedicates his piece to his older sister. His Nocturne in C-sharp minor is a piece of work that is composed at night in the French society. He directed the piece focusing on the experiences of her sister. The piece begins softly, then a mournful, melancholy, flowing enters, which escalates in an air filled with despair at bar five. The broken chords direct the musical elements of rhythm and harmony. At this point, the melody is less jovial and calm. Then the rhythm starts all over again and it creates an imparting section of quality music. The composer reaches his audience softly with harmony.

Studying and listening to the two pieces by Beethoven and Chopin communicates a lot about our present society with emphasis on events that shaped the 19^th century. The pieces, for example, highlighted the struggles of individual lives such as the tragic sonority of Beethoven that inspired the Romantic era movement. The pain and sorrows expressed indirectly leaves an emotional space that fills the listeners. Chopin demonstrates this attribute with his Nocturne in C# minor that used broken chords that shapes a sad encounter. His piece is short and conveys emotions of hopelessness, nocturne misery, joy, tranquility and anger. The composer plays it and it crescendos to anger but ends with a sign of hope. Both musical composers show their mastery of classical music.

Listening to both Beethoven and Chopin changes our perspective on society in numerous ways such as the essence of composing music. Both classical composers explore how members of the society can communicate their feelings and emotions using musical elements. This communication aspect entrenches a sense of delight and entertainment, thus improving relationships in the society. Musical pieces can be used to explain various themes in the society, the pieces acts as symbol that are metaphoric to issues affecting society. The music teaches us to appreciate the roles people in the society. Additionally joining hands in helping each person in the society is encouraged.
