In the job market, potential job seekers must package themselves as valuable products with high demand. In this regard, outward appearance as well as mental preparedness is influential in setting a good image among employers. Another significant aspect of candidate packaging is the resume, online identity, CV, cover letters and any presentation materials. By preparing the necessary literature and materials, an applicant increases their chances of getting a job with a reputable and high-ranking firm. The issue of employee price will eventually emerge in most interviews and meetings. Compensation in the current work environment is a problematic subject that shall be handled delicate and direct manner by the job applicant. Furthermore, as a candidate, one should express their expected salaries, bonuses, and additional benefits.

Placement for potential job seekers is important as it determines the amount and type of exposure an individual gets. As an applicant, I can choose to either adopt a push or pull approach. Push approaches such as e-mail blasting and delivering third-party faxes is outdated and intrusive. Conversely, I would select a pull approach that involves a combination of two methods. One, creating a strong and presentable online presence through social networking sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. The second method involves creating websites or blogs that capture the portfolio of my work as well as new content. Concerning promotion, I would create massive demand for my type of services using broad networking. Potential employers should also be aware of the competition for my services as this increases my value. The prospecting needs would be addressed by creating a target list for the best companies to work in. Other features that will allow me to stand out in interviews include the ability to provide solutions to problems and persuading the employer that selecting me is the right choice.
