1.         Usually, voters tend to elect candidates into political offices against their own interests. During the beginning of campaigns, candidates normally engage in the creation of promises and strategies that, if applied, may actually work in favor of the citizens’ needs. However, upon election into office, the same persons engage in the implementation of decisions and alternatives that pose negative implications against the electorate. Indeed, it is evident that voters do not intentionally vote against their interests. This is because of different determinants that affect the voting process in general. Foremost, there is insignificant information regarding the candidates vying for different political seats. Gaining the actual truth concerning particular candidates needs significant time as well as effort. In fact, learning sufficient information about a viable candidate in a respective competitive race may require considerable efforts as well as a significant time stretch. This is because voters possess over twelve elections to consider over an even-year generic election ballot.

2.         Asian Americans possess a variety of issues that need to be resolved in order to impose positive implications at the individual and the collective level. Foremost, it is imperative to consider the lesser range of policies that protect them as minorities. Accordingly, Asian Americans possess fewer policies in terms of the protection of their rights. Secondly, Asian Americans are less represented within federal and state government offices despite their considerable population. Lastly, due to the diverse nature of the community in question and less involvement in changing the political system, Asian Americans experience hindrances when it comes to political organization. Addressing such issues requires different platforms that enable civic education from an individual and communal level. Additionally, Asian American representatives should focus on creating amendments that allow more incorporation of minorities into state and federal governments. Lastly, significant participation by Asian Americans in citizen panels may allow the expression of the issues they face to a general nationwide audience.
