How I define my identity often depends on the context or situation, and the person asking the question. I use different measures to identify the most influential and relevant descriptions. I often note my personal attributes and characteristics, which include factors such as honesty, intelligence, and temperament. I usually concentrate on the different skills I have, and I emphasize the unique and strong skills. I describe any critical thinking skills, which I have. I am a creative and innovative person, who thinks outside the norm. I look at situations differently, and I am able to identify solutions to problems. I am naturally inquisitive, and I take the time to research on different issues, thus increasing my knowledge. I am often not satisfied with the possibility of not knowing something, and this interests me towards finding solutions to problems. I evaluate all the information I have, and I tend to be objective and realistic although I have a positive outlook. This enables me to come up with practical solutions.

I am an effective communicator. I have excellent listening skills, and I take my time to think about what others are saying. This enables me to interpret information accordingly and understand people better. I often find that am able to help people when I understand what they are saying, and I interrupt less frequently when I give a person enough time to speak. I speak eloquently, and I often prefer using simple words when I am talking to people. I have found this to be the most effective way of getting people to respond. This enables me to get more information out of people, and to get the feedback I need from them. However, I find that I speak to people differently, depending on the situation. The way I speak to my friends in class is not the same way I speak to my parents. The type of words I use and the level of formality change depending on the person that I am addressing. I am patient, and I take my time to explain issues to others, give them time to ask questions, and clarify any concerns they might have.

I am a responsible person, and I am accountable for my actions. I believe that any choices I make in life have consequences. I realize that consequences can be positive or negative. I take the time to make decisions, and I reason objectively and with an open mind. I am passionate, and this has sometimes affected the decisions I make and my reaction to information. I can be openly excited, which seems inappropriate in formal situations. I am an ethical person, and I believe in doing the right thing. However, I do not always do something just because it seems the right thing to do, but I also look at the consequences of taking a particular action.

I do not concentrate so much on my physical attribute if I am having a face-to-face conversation or with a person who knows me. That person already has an idea of my height, my complexion and other different physical characteristics. Therefore, I will often concentrate on more abstract concepts, such as any skills I posses, which the person does not know. However, my physical attributes are important, as they form a basic part of my identity. I describe myself based on my physical features. This includes my height, size and shape, hair and eye color. My race, ethnicity, and gender are important. I also describe myself in terms of my current position and occupation in life. This includes any job that I do, whether I am a student and the particular course I am doing.
