Healthcare and Nursing
Teaching principles, varied learning styles, and methodologies impact the approach to education for both nurses and patients in different ways. Nurses approach the above dimension with the intent of bridging the gap between providing the best or suitable healthcare to the patients in order to get them back to original status of wellbeing (Swerissen 66). On the other hand, patients’ approach to the above dimensions is through acquiring informative ways to improve their own health conditions without necessarily depending on the caregivers or healthcare practitioners’’ input. The latter is centered on their own delivery. Thus the education involved in the two parties is not the same as one is tasked with the enhancements of the health concerns whilst the other has the responsibility of determining the kind and quality of the care chosen. In most cases, the approaches to the above create a non- uniform division.
In order for healthcare providers to overcome differing points of view regarding health promotion and disease division, there have to be concessions made especially while considering issues like influence, culture, beliefs and personalities involved (Beaudet 11). The particular nature of a people, ethnicity, beliefs and practices can determine the appropriate means of disease prevention and health promotion. For example, if a society does not believe in taking drugs or vaccines, alternative strategies have to be incorporated by the health care providers in order to help improve disease prevention and health promotion efforts. The health care providers can reduce the barrier by using communication and factual delivery of the misconceptions held by the affected in order to deliver proper health care prevention and promotion availabilities. In addition, minimization of chances in conflict will be important.
