Gross Motor Activity Plan
The learning experience of this activity is helping the baby to go from the belly to sitting on its own. The child in the experiment is a baby who is about six and a half months old.
Rationale
This activity is an integral part in the child’s development. It will help the child learn how to crawl and eventually walk on his or her own. The child is currently at level four of development. This exercise was inspired by the child’s need to reach out to a toy that I held out. The child’s movement was indicative of the requirement to move from sitting to the belly in order for it to crawl.

Connecting With Families in the Activity
Ask parents to come along with their babies for practical experiments and lessons on how to help the baby. They should also ensure they have their children’s toys of preference during the exercise in order to make sure the child remains attentive throughout.
