Mozart has been termed as a prolific artist, with some referring to him as a musical genius due to his ability to compose exceptional works. In addition, it is also claimed that he may have used daily events as his inspiration to compose diverse and individual unique works. Furthermore, it is also claimed that he used mathematical perspectives in the composition of his works. In one of his compositions, the Fantasia and Fugue in C Major, he jotted some mathematical equations on his possibility of winning a lottery (Condat 26). Critics term this as an illustration of his attraction to mathematics, which denotes high intelligence. In other works such as Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute), Mozart includes spoken dialogue and singing, making one of his most successful.

His works has been termed as influenced by the philosophies of enlightenment. His works have been noted as advocating for the philosophy of enlightened absolutism. Bergman’s rendition suggests that Mozart was a highly intelligent individual due to the composition of the numerous unique works (Putz  23). Some suggest that the brilliance of his numerous compositions is indicative of the use of the golden section.  A ratio is used in the division of the length of any item which usually equals 0.618.

A large number of musicians, architects and artists, the Golden Section is an overly esthetic means of undertaking division of length of any item. For human beings, the history and origin of the Golden Section dates back to the period of Euclid in the year 300BC. For other natural matter such as fruits, animals such as fish and crustaceans, their respective dimensions illustrate the use of geometrical dimensions. Critics continue to question Mozart’s consciousness in utilizing the Golden Section in the composition of distinctive and popular musical works given its manifestation in the piano Sonatas.
