• The grower must be well aware of the amount of fertilizer to use and how frequent he/she must apply it.

Packer’s needs include:

• Roots must be wrapped in damp packaging to prevent the flowers from drying
• Plastic wrapping is preferred to retain the moisture
• Leaves can be wrapped in newspaper to protect them
• Plants must be labeled for easy identification
• When shipping the flowers, it is important to use padding with items such as newspaper and packing peanuts
