The Consumer Electronics Show

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a platform for all people interested in consumer technologies and innovations, as it enables them to display their creations. The show began in 1967 in New York, but it is held in Las Vegas every year. It features different exhibitors including developers and innovators, manufacturers, and suppliers from more than one hundred countries. The show features a wide variety of technologies including automotive electronics, audio, 3D printing, communication technologies, digital photography and imaging, electronic gaming, fitness and sports equipment, robotics, sensors, video, wearables, smart home gadgets, wireless devices, and many more. Over the years, the show has displayed products that have changed people’s lives. Some of the earlier products include the VCR, camcorder, CD players, the mini disc, digital satellite systems, HDTV, the Microsoft Xbox, plasma TV, and DVDs. Recent products at the show include the OLED TV, 3D HDTV, tablets, netbooks, and android devices, ultrabooks, and driverless car technology among many others (CES).

More than 170,000 people attended the 2015 show, which featured 3631 exhibiting companies. The attendees included government officials and senior level executives. Company presidents, CEOs, and business owners made up 15% of those who attended. The event included more than 48,000 international attendees from 153 countries including delegations from Africa, Asia, south and North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. 82% of fortune 100 companies and 83% of top retailers were featured at the event. The event received ample media coverage with more than 6000 media, including print, online, and broadcast, attending the show. This was in addition to the thousands of advertisers and marketing professionals who attended the event (CEA).

The Cree Connected LED Bulb is one of the smart lighting devices. It is cheaper compared with other connected lighting though more expensive than ordinary LED bulbs. The bulb has ventilation holes at the top and the bottom and this enables it to remain cool when in use. It uses 81% less power than the traditional bulb. The 60W equivalent bulb can be used for about 25,000 hours. The bulb uses opaque plastic and this makes it possible to diffuse the light more effectively. One can use wink app to connect the bulb to the mobile or tablet. It is compatible with the Wink hub, the Wink relay, and the ZigBee link certified hubs, which act as bridges when connecting the device to the phone. The hubs translate the zigBee signals in the bulb to Wi-Fi (Colon).

Once a person has connected the device and the app, he or she can then use the mobile to control different actions including turning on and off and dimming the lights. Another benefit of using the bulbs is that it enables the user to create a schedule indicating the time that the lights can be switched on or off automatically. For instance, one can set the time to switch off all the lights when he leaves the house (Colon).  The development of the LED bulb shows a growth in that specific sector. The interest in finding ways of using and conserving electricity continues to grow. The development is therefore a significant impact to the society. It has paved the way for continuous development of affordable lighting that considers environmental impact.

The Marantz NR1605 slim line receiver is an audio product with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth among other features. It has a LED control panel and impressive sound quality. The device uses Audyssey MultEQ technology, which enables it to adjust the volume whenever there are any changes. This technology measures the alterations in a room and it develops equalization filters that enable it to get a better sound. It is capable of adjusting natural tone balance. The device is developed to ensure connectivity. It has analog and stereo preamp outputs. This enables the user to add two more channels when the device is used outside and to connect to large power amplifiers. People using the device could also link many Marantz components using the RC5 remote control system. The device has internet radio that connects to the local radio stations and its Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features give it streamlining capabilities. It has free app for smartphones and users can use the app to control volume and other features as well as switch between stations even when a person is at a lengthy distance.

The many connecting features enable the user to connect to his tablet or mobile and access the content stored there. The ECO mode is environmentally friendly as it saves a lot of electricity. The gadget is a useful tool for people who value good high quality sound. It is for personal gratification even though it can have multiple uses. The gadget is meant for entertainment purposes but the many features means that it can be adapted to multiple settings where good sound is needed. This includes large outdoor occasions such as events and parties, as well as large indoor events. Its connectivity capabilities make it especially relevant today, as most people use multiple gadgets to store their media.

It supports 4G network and covers up to 20 bands with speeds of 150Mbps. The phone has improved performance using the A8 dual-core processor. This makes it especially good for gaming. The phone has inbuilt features that enables it to save the battery. It will restrict some phone functions if the phone has not been used for some time and if there are no signals in the location.

The iphone 6 plus is an addition to the smartphone market. Smartphones have become more of a necessity today and they are no longer considered luxury items. People want to own smartphones that will enhance their experience when using the phone. They use the phones to communicate, socialize, entertain, and schedule their activities. The many features and applications on the phones are important. People not only use the gadgets in their personal lives, but they have found ways of using it to enhance their work experience. The creation of more smartphones has led to increased competition in the industry and this has increased the level of creativity and innovation. Developers are always looking for ways to make the gadgets more appealing and relevant in the modern day. The Apple iPhone 6 plus is a reflection of how one can ensure functionality and relevance, while at the same time maintaining the physical appeal.
