In order for United Airlines to have successful implementation of its strategic plan of generic means, organizational culture has to be effected. The Company intends on delivering the improved service experience to all the customers and guest. The workers will be enabled and challenged to improve on their efforts in meeting the strategic placing of customer satisfaction according to the reward delivered after the process. In return, the feedback achieved by the customers through experienced and quality gained will translate into improved profitability, marginal costs, and operation management.
The generic strategy of increasing the
company’s market share has to be delivered through improved leadership
practices. It is vital for the leadership management in linking the strategy
identified into the culture developed starting from the top to the bottom. The
leaders have to strengthen the vertical and horizontal dimensions with the
workforce. Sinha (17) notes that it increases cooperation, reliability, uplift
of the worker’s input and strategic placing on the overall. The leaders should
change the links into mission-driven kind by involvement and taking up of
suggestions and participation. Secondly, the synergy developed from the leadership
culture should be maximized and managed around it while reformulating the
culture. In addition, the execution of the culture strategy should be driven
through the workforce as opposed to development from the leaders. It reduces
chances of opposition within the staff and departmental specializations within
the company.
