The main aspect in focus within this form of technical writing involves understanding the significance of writing in the area of hiring. The development of the Internet has created different platforms that organizations currently utilize to gain employment resources. Nowadays, organizations gain the information they require by accessing third-party websites. These sites are commonly dedicated to providing applicants with an efficient platform that will assist them in gaining opportunities for employment. Aside from this, the respective sites ensure that organizations and potential candidates gain a compromising ground in regards to prospects based on the aspect of work. This is further demonstrated by the presence of employment websites such as LinkedIn. Websites such as LinkedIn provide applicants and employers with the ability to connect in terms of mission, vision, goals, and objectives. In addition to this, they connect potential applicants and employees based on the same interests in order to further their aims.

Indeed, from a personal and well-thought opinion, the development of professional employment-based websites such as LinkedIn has proved beneficial to the contemporary applicant. Before the establishment of these platforms, potential applicants utilized traditional forms that did not specifically provide them with many opportunities to express themselves. For instance, the utilization of hand-delivered resumes and curriculum vitae unfortunately excluded applicants that were possibly the right match for their companies. In spite of the developments present within the current system of job scouting and hiring, it is impossible to negate the enduring nature of the writing process. Over the years, the activity of writing has assumed considerable importance in securing employment opportunities for interested applicants across the marketplace. This is due to the application of the respective process in traditional as well as current platforms of job scouting and hiring.

The significance of the writing process in the attainment of employment opportunities is evident. Undeniably, applicants have to ensure that they are capable of articulating themselves cohesively to gain a chance to work. For example, applicants have to write documents such as statements of purpose, CVs, and resumes for the aim of gaining an employment opportunity or, at least, securing an entry.
