            The Capital Works Program initiated by the Kangaroo Island Council has admitted the Public Toilet at Emu Bay into its list of beneficiaries for the reconstruction project. The mandate of third party contractors will mainly be the repair and aesthetic design of the facility while preserving its structural integrity (United Cities, and Local Governments 57). Revive’s duty will range from the reconstruction of the concrete floor slab, deconstruction of the facility, to the purchase of repair items for the projects. Towards mitigating costs, Revive will salvage the items that sustain functionality after the deconstruction phase. As such, non-conforming items that deviate from the specifications will be documented to prevent them from being installed.

            The company will establish a framework for controlling of documentation to ensure there is an objective record the quality of items and evidence that the activities are performed in adherence to Kangaroo Island Council’s programmatic requirements. Revive’s Quality Control Manager will be mandated with the review, control, maintenance and verifications of the documentation outlined in the specifications (Mitra 43). Inspections will be carried out before and after every definable feature of work such as the facility’s deconstruction and reconstruction of the slab floor as well as in between shift changes to ensure continuity in the standard of work. Testing procedures will be implemented to confirm that the facilities renovation is going in the desired trajectory within the specified timeline without compromising on the quality of the project. The authenticity of the testing procedures will also be gauged to ensure their capability of mitigating deviations and responding to present mistakes promptly. Similar preparatory meetings with the respective crews will be performed before the beginning of any definable feature of work. Daily follow-up inspections will be performed throughout the duration of the project.
