Article 1
The article has Madonna Impersonator Gone Too Far? is an analysis of sexuality in the present age and societal response towards it. Adam impersonated the famous female singer Madonna. He had gone to extreme lengths of changing his physique and natural attributes, including his gender to become like the star. Despite the huge financial backdrop of all the cosmetic and plastic surgeries, the toll on his family and external pressure had a tremendous effect. In terms of the psychology analysis, the issues addressed by Adam’s behavior, preferences and societal influences include perception, adolescence and adulthood as well as personality. Adam states that he had realized through his upbringing on the acceptance in terms of sexual orientation. Difficulty was experienced in a society that accepted such existence but also had opposition towards the length he had gone to achieve such measure. In terms of critical thinking, he risks his overall health in terms of the number of procedures that he had decided to undergo. A supporting side is viewed through the doctor who accepts his preference and what he wanted but at the rightful health status.
Article 2
The article After-birth Abortion: Why Should the Baby Live? on abortion analyses, the medical ethics states that parents should be allowed in having their unborn children killed, as they are morally irrelevant. It clearly states that ending the lives of the newborn babies was no different to abortion (Adams 1). The supporting mechanism on the claim points to a man being labeled as having attributes towards their own existence and basic value that can be leveled in any case of the loss to him or her. In addition, more impetus was put on parents having the right to kill their children if they were disabled. In terms of the social psychology attributed to the topic on abortion, analysis of the health and status of the child is paramount as well as the need for protecting its right to life. The states of consciousness and societal thinking require a clear determination on the formative aspects of the child’s case. In this regard, precedence will be given to the willing acts of killing innocent children at the expense of human rights and existence. Philosophical considerations look at the manipulation as antenatal infanticide.
Article 3
The article New Effort to Halt Spread of HIV in the Caribbean looks at the effect of stigmatization among the gay and same-sex individuals of the society towards the rising cases of HIV infection. The article provides for the responses by the individuals in Kingston, Jamaica according to the efforts undertaken to provide for safety tips, condom-use, and preventive measures (Associated Press 1). Despite the strict laws on homosexuality and same-sex relations in the Caribbean, the article points at the growing concern that stigma has had over the years, translating into loss of lives that would have been reduced. One of the psychological analyses enabled through the stigmatization effects is towards the personal level and perception enable through the society. For example, the mention of the difficulty in changing mentality among even the victims of the scourge makes it difficult to reach out to all the affected. The state of consciousness among those involved does not allow for their evaluation and changing such norms with the added pressure from external means. The stress and health of such individuals increasingly deteriorates and in turn, it affects the society in general.
