One Page Reflection on Research Paper

Our education system is littered with problems. One of the greatest issues is the issue of racial discrimination against members of the minority groups. Racial discrimination is mostly evident in educational institutions. Studies have shown that most students from the minority groups are poor performers in school, due to the poor quality education they receive in their native countries. This gives the white students an edge over them, hence, racial discrimination stems from that point. This is my area of interest, as austere measures need to be taken in order to improve and change the system for better.

Racial discrimination in schools can be eliminated. For instance, governments can provide scholarships for students from the minority groups, and provide them withy quality education, to level the playing ground for them. Teachers and other staff members need to be sensitized on the importance of being racially accommodative. It has been observed that racially discriminative teachers are fuelling this problem in learning institutions. Another solution would be for the government to establish formal sanctions to those who engage in racial discrimination in learning institutions.

            This proposal would be presented to the Vice Chancellor and Dean of students of the university. The two offices have senior authority in learning institutions that would be instrumental in ensuring the necessary reforms are taking place, through formulation of policy.

To add to the solutions in my proposal paper, I would need to have a field study conducted, where we would gather qualitative date in respect to the topic at hand. Now, the main idea is to alleviate racial discrimination and the effects it has on our education system. The issue of racial discrimination is deeply rooted in learning institutions and should be addressed as soon as possible.
