Ode to a Nightingale
The Ode to a Nightingale by John Keats belongs to the regular motion ode category. The poem has eight stanzas and each of them equates to ten pentameter lines. They are accompanied by regular rhyme scheme. The poem contains regular form in writing though the impression left is that of a rhapsody. The motion within the author’s thoughts is connected with free expression as one suggests another in subsequent manner. It also conjures expression on the reader through free inspiration and arbitrary conclusion after its analysis. There is no conceived plan from the author’s motion and writing availabilities. In addition, the motion is deliberated with listening to music of a nightingale whilst writing what is on his mind. Therefore, it is delivered through an experience being encountered other than from the past.
The author’s main idea is contained in the evaluation of life. For example, he equates life to be a vale of tears accompanied by frustration. His int6ention is escape from life through the power of his own imagination. The second main idea is death and subsequent ridding of his all together. He wishes that he could pass away in a painless and easy manner like falling asleep. The reoccupation with death marks the unsatisfactory attitude throughout the poem. The third main idea is the power contained through imagination. Keats realizes that fancy and imagination do not enable the expressions of his thoughts in similar manner. For example, poetry is rejected in place of wine and he ends up facing his problems again. The author’s writing style is based on permanence in terms of the nightingale to the reader. He symbolizes it to poetry in a literal manner.
