Health Communication
Part 1
Of the relevant health communication concepts, the increase in awareness of health issues and influence of behaviors regarding health matters rank highly in importance (Berry 12). For example, in the Wrangell Alaska Medical Center, the relevant training and enabling of students has been achieved with the resultant saving of related costs. In the case study of Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Vermont, the public had a negative perception of mistrust in the control and management programs of the health avenues. Through the initiatives, the influence enabled decentralization of funds and subsequent celebration by he community on success of the programs.
Part 2
The case study on Yuma Hospital in Colorado provided for one of the most efficient concepts of health communication. The traditional method of patients having to see one physician was radically changed over time through the intervention and availing of a care transition system. The results erased the initial mistrust with medical home process and improvement in hands-off data access. The success of this concept can be efficient in my future career as it enables the patients embrace better and efficient means of addressing health concerns through enabled communication (Wright, Sparks and O’Hair 17).
Part 3
The case study on Wrangell Alaska Medical Center did not meet the challenge of enabling growth as it promoted more of vendor participation rather than building an increased sense of volunteerism in the society. As concerns rural health initiatives, volunteerism can help alleviate the costs associate with provision of health care.
Part 4
With the case of volunteerism, I
would enable increase in demand for the health services and support from the
vendors to enable volunteerism in the rural context. The role of the vendors
would enable meeting of the costs, as they are business-minded while in return,
the community would be served with increased demand and benefits.
