Federal System

            The mixture of the unitary government with confederation setup is unique with the Federal System of the United States government. The most interesting bit with the federal system is the provision of powers by the constitution to the government. The three national powers granted include expressed, implied, and inherent. The expressed powers are directly stated in the constitution from the founders of eh nation while the implied powers are the expected definitions of power from the constitution as required by the national government. The implied are classified as elastic as they can be defined by congress from time to time and are allowed stretching on their terms. The expressed powers relate to any of the enumerated divisions contained in the constitution and are protected forthwith. Of particular interest are the inherent powers as the government when deemed appropriate exercises them.

            Despite the lack of inherent powers being spelled in the constitution, I believe that the government should be steadfast in their exercise. Since they are meant to draft power to the people, inherent powers should be used to curb the practice of immigration in the United States. For example, stiff laws on the arrests, surveillance, and alertness standards should be reinforced as procedural. They are meant to protect and safeguard the country from any cases of lawlessness, direct harm from influence through illegal activities by the aliens and general uprising due to the faction that sponsor such behavior. The inherent provision within the national government’s powers allows for formation and constant review of such laws and policies due to the demanding nature of safeguarding the citizens’ lives. It is a priority within the federal system.
