            In the evaluation of sources to be used in exploration and analysis, the most credible are the primary sources. Primary sources are based on academic representation of the relevant syllabus and coverage of the ideal information necessary for the topic of concern. The scope contained in these sources matches the expectations of the required period while serving the audience of the academic field. Slavin (2012) argues that the publications of the sources are in relevance within the timeframe of the study’s scope. The periodical indexes, catalogs, and citation dates are given in the publications for scrutiny.

            The sources that can be less reliable or credible are the secondary kind. Secondary sources may involve publications of personal reflections on the respective area of study. Personal reflections contain interviews, objectivity according to intended outcomes on the study topics and personal views. The reasons that make these source less credible is contained in the professional level of the authors, years of experience, accredited information basis and the audience intended for the publications. In addition, secondary sources contain compilation and evaluation of previously researched and authenticated information (Stebbins, 2006). Therefore, originality of the information is obtained from the primary sources.

            Bias and deception contained in social issues affecting analysis or exploration are contained in the intended outcomes of the study. One of the biases is based on opinion as well as the intended audience. Analysis and exploration require open-minded information gathering as well as freedom of analysis based on the broad spectrum of the study. It is important to identify bias and deception in order to evaluate the credibility of the information. Secondly, identification enables the evaluation of credentials, affiliations, and reliability of the information given. In turn, this forms the basis of the study and its outcomes.
