Ethics

In this Ethics paper the learner will pick an Ethical Theory from the textbook or list in Learning Plan #1 under Learning Activities, describe the history of it, and describe at least one author of that theory or major contributor to that theory. The learner will pick and list a professional Code of Ethics to focus on from the list at the Illinois Institute of Technology Website (http://ethics.iit.edu/ecodes/about) where they have an enormous Collection of Ethical Codes. It would be best to pick a code of ethics that goes with your program major or anticipated or current profession. Then the learner will apply and recognize how that theory has been used as the rationale in that code of ethics, and why it’s important or applicable to the student’s chosen profession. Included in this paper will also be an example of an ethical situation similar to one that may happen within your chosen profession. For example, a nursing student in the past looked at the ethical decisions that were made for patients a hospital in New Orleans when they lost their power after Hurricane Katrina and their generator failed to work. Also included within the writing will be 6 high quality in-text citations and a reference page with those same references listed.
