Ethical Reasoning: Technology in Education Essay

            In ethical reasoning and development of technology in education essay, several decisions had to be made regarding the range of issues addressed and the manner of expression. Technology is a vital aspect in the lives of humans as it is used in almost every process on a daily basis. The essay required decision-making criteria on the pros and cons towards its effect in usage as well as considerations on the importance to other relevant solutions to humanistic requirements. For example, the main decision made was to either support or disagree on the effect of technology making humans stupid. It was vital to determine the stance, especially with the requirement of the level of needs on an average basis as compared to the long-term effects experienced and studied over time. The decision was important as it determined the destiny of ethical reasoning of the essay.

            The second most important decision made, was the criteria in delivery of the information regarding technological enhancements depending on the negative and positive impact towards the human brain. I had to decide on the basis due to evidence gained from a personalized decision or a scientific study realized over time. The purpose was to establish a defined response to the claim of stupidity and the brain’s long-term effects through a convincing delivery. Evidence, statistics, and information used had to have conviction without doubt especially targeting any reader and those individuals in need of reaffirmation. Therefore, development of the criteria had to incorporate personal testament towards reasoning coupled with help from credible studies and research. It had to minimize any room of doubt or unfounded questioning in terms of relevance, as well as judgment on arguments either for or against the need for technological advancement.

            One of the most important considerations made in ethical reasoning on technology in education essay was the audience for the final delivery. An audience determines the kind of knowledge and information provided depending on the appropriateness level and communicated manner. Considerations towards an audience are dependent on several factors like knowledge of the subject in discussion, culture, background, and age. Once the factors are determined and known, an intended profile is built before the writing and ensuring the essay addresses all issues. The depth of analysis is vital with the time application and scope of coverage on the topic as required. Therefore, technological use and subsequent effects towards the human brain had to influence a sophisticated audience due to the critical nature and information gathered. The specific applications and analysis of the intended material had to conquer with that of the audience.

             After determining the audience as the instructor, the context of analysis had to change in order to suit the requirements. Due to the available level of knowledge and expertise in the field, I had to alter any form of generalized concepts, ideas, information category, and systematic flow. For example, explanation of the differential memory in both volatile and permanent basis had to be effected from scientific study since the audience is not naïve on the differential modes of storage. I had to develop the argument with in-depth analysis on transient, intrinsic, and developed memory allocation within the use of technological needs. In turn, the audience knowledge level made me sharper in mode of delivery and argumentative considerations for the ethical delivery. I had to be opinionated without indecision and regularly support the argument side with vital information and efficiency.     

            Information sources are responsible for communicating the intellectual context of any research or argument. The most important factors considered include the author of the materials, the date of publication, credentials, relevance of the publication information, and the extent of coverage in regards to the research carried out. The sources used and the type in coverage determine the credibility of the research carried out and effect towards the completely ethical reasoning and writing. The sources I used for the technological argument of causing harm to humans were based on information technology books, psychological analysis by seasoned writers as well as publication in technological periodicals. The information book was responsible for obtaining statistical information, which is relevant and gained from previous studiers while the periodicals delivered opinionated of reputable researchers on the topic. They offered credible analysis and support towards the argument I based on. 

            I chose the three types of sources on the topic based on credibility and relevance towards technological requirements in the present circumstances as opposed to the scope of the coverage. The information technology book is a comprehensive information source on studied effect realized through usage of technology at all levels, age, and length. The detailed statistical availability of global trends, results, studied behavioral changes and impact towards the mental ability of humans after the prolonged use of technology is well documented in it. Thus it was ideal to use the book as a source of information especially ion developing my arguments and providing credibility. The two periodicals were also important as they shaped the basis of my argument. They are featured in leading documentations used on a daily basis, thereby causing a followed up trend in the information technology age. 

            The most difficult thing I endured in writing the ethical reasoning on technology in education essay was the development of negative effects of the study. Technology is available in almost every single component of tool, systems, arrangement, and machines used by humans on every little function. Thus, developing and augmented approach highlighting the negative impacts over time had to be in-depth and convincing. On top of the mode of delivery, arrangement, and consideration of the sources, the need for applied exemplification was not easy. In order for me to overcome the above, I had to rely on opinionated survey according to studies use over time, personalized experiences, and observation within the society. By researching on addiction levels from a personal view and that of generated criteria, conviction was obtained with relative ease. I had to transfer the same to my audience with clarity.

            One of the procedures I found to be surprisingly easy was the analysis of past research and relating the results to the society on parallel dimensions. Due to the differences in ethical, racial, national, civilization backgrounds, similarities were accorded to help in the process. By using a developed checklist, I had to discipline my coverage according to the content. In turn, I remained focused on the task by referring to the thesis, conviction of ethical reasoning and overall objective of gaining the maximum score. I used preparation materials as well as revisiting of the paper throughout to align the writing and the thesis developed. The outcome was then supported by the findings and sources used to deliver the argument.
