Indeed, it is agreeable that there is disparity between legal and ethical behavior. Based on Buchbinder and Shanks (2012), ethical behavior involves differentiating between the right and the wrong, which contrasts from legal behavior, which is concerned with the specificity of law. Nonetheless, the boundary between both mannerisms is blurry. In business practices within the healthcare setting, ethical behaviors can also form part of legal behavior. For instance, honesty in accounting can be perceived as more of a legal behavior and an ethical behavior.

In concurrence, there are similarities between legal and ethical behavior. This is based on the foundation of right or wrong in terms of decision-making. However, the law cannot address fully the ethical dilemma faced in a certain context (Fried & Fottler, 2011). For instance, in a healthcare situation, the practice of euthanasia may be legal but in real sense, the law does not cover the ethical part of it. As such, the issue becomes more than just the thought of whether a particular action is correct or incorrect.

As such, employees can be trained on simple prevention measures such as firewalls and anti-virus programs in order to boost network security.
