Introduction

            Social and emotional development in a child’s growth is vital in every aspect as it determines the outcomes of behavior and attitude to external sources. The management of a child’s feelings, positive interaction, and relational understanding of others’ feelings enable a strong foundation for later stages of life. Inborn temperament, behaviors, disabilities and temperament coupled with the relationship with adults affect the overall psychoanalytic abilities of the child. The differential stages of a child’s life require augmented processes of developing the social and emotional aspects in order to maximize the potential within, while enabling a sociable character and attitude. An enhanced process of early social and emotional development with measured processes in children, impact on positive outcome for growth in life.

Discussion

            Healthy emotional and social development in children allows them to learn and incorporate ways of developing relationships. The inclusive nature makes them understand others. It also makes them able to master abilities within themselves of initiating, discovering, playing, and learning. The stage of a child’s development helps them able to learn on persistence and paying of attention. Differential circumstances will then be enabled in their understanding of the steps to take and those to avoid. It makes it easy for them to develop a self-regulating mechanism in their behaviors, as they are able to be critical and analyze themselves. On e of the most important aspects is that they manage to have an emotional range development.  

            The first stage of development is the learning of basic trust and security through how it is handled. It is formed in basic optimism and viewing of the environment within. The stage of autonomy versus shame builds on the trust enabled at the initial stage. There is newfound control and this builds on confidence to associate with others while expressing themselves to the outside world. In addition, the culture within its surrounding plays an important role in getting the social and emotional development in check. The psychological ramifications from the previous stages are accessed and any mishap could prove negative in latter stages. Relating and progression with peers is built from the background.

            The role of the parents is thus important in ensuring that all the above social and emotional aspects are developed in time and with the right measure. As a parent, one should provide responsive care at all times while being nurturing and affectionate. Measures of solving conflicts and misunderstandings should be taught with the appropriate and healthy way. The child should be supported especially at this stage to enable skill development and interactions through building of relationships. The joy found within should be encouraged, as the child is social and emotionally connected with others and from within. At all times, the child should be made secure and content that it belongs to larger networks of relationships and love.
