It is true that through such an approach, it becomes easier for an organization to determine whether the shared services in place are actually beneficial to the organization, and what can be done to change that if the outcome is otherwise. The CIO also suggests the removal of complex shared services that are not beneficial to the organization. This is agreeable because complex shared services tend to hurt the business in terms of losing customer loyalty and trust within the departments, which cripple the growth of the company.
